A Great Leader

From Guy Kawasaki the concept that stood out for me is trusting people, this makes me think about Heavenly Father. He is trusting that I will choose correctly and return to Him. He is trusting me with 5 children to care for them, to walk with them, and to love them as he loves them. Now I can think that He trusts that I can be a  disciple of Christ and that I will serve others. This leads me to trust more in Him. He knows I can become a baker.

From Frank Levinson, I got to hire nice and caring people. From Carly Fiorina, I learned that leadership is based on three abilities 1. Capability, 2. Collaborations, and  3. Character. She gave some ideas about capability that were interesting to me. I want to be a good leader, especially in my family. These ideas are to keep innovating, taking risks, and celebrating new ideas. I keep thinking that if I start practicing with my family when the time comes that I manage a working team, it will be easier for me to continue developing these skills in a working environment. Fiorina also mentions to keep learning, which is something that I enjoy doing, so, I can see myself at 60 or 80 years old and still learning something new, that would be amazing.

From the Good to Great book, I learned about the three characteristics to become great

1. Great product

2. Believe I am the best.

3.  Have a passion for your product.

I want to become a great leader, and I know I can be great if I follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I am preparing to be a great leader and a better disciple of Christ. None of this will be easy but it is worth it. Remember to keep trying if does not work well the first, second, or even the twentieth time. Keep trying but make the adjustments to make it work and learn from mistakes. I trust you can do it.
